Explaining Net Neutrality To Others

Hello all first time poster so sorry if i screw any of this up.

I was wondering if the beautiful minds of the LevelOneTech community could help with some simple ELi5 counter points to some of the common arguments people like to bring up when they believe net neutrality should go away.

EX. Netflix is clogging up the internet so ISP's should be allowed to throttle them.

This would certainly help me (and possibly others) in explaining to people why we need net neutrality and be able to argue the point with them. Thank you.

Ex. ISPs should upgrade their infrastructure instead of providing premium lanes on 60 year old cables

So are you saying that it is true that these big website are actully clogging the internet? Then the only way to fix it is to upgrade infrastructure? Couldn't this kinda be used to say that getting rid of net neutrality would be a good thing. You know so ISP wouldn't have to spend that money and the problem would just be fix by throttling. playing devil's advocate

Net Neutrality is a rap whistle in detroit. If you don't have one, 99.9% you'll get raped. With one, 50% (still have hackers and shit).

This should help:

Thank you that definitely one of the best videos that i have seen explaining net neutrality. I guess i will just link this to people that argue to get rid of neutrality.
