Experience with Displayport Switch

As so many others nowadays I need a KVM switch for my WFH/Gaming setup. What’s important to me is that G-Sync works without a hitch and that both my mouse (Logitech) and keyboard (Razer) will be properly recognized and work without any delays.

I’m currently stuck between these two switches:

  • Level1Techs 1.4 Display Port KVM Switch - Dual Monitor - Two Computer
  • TESmart DKS202-M24-EUBK

Does anyone have experience with either or both of these? From my understanding Level1Techs are more reliable, but they are shipping from the US, so I’ll have to expect a hefty import tax in the EU.

No issues here, just don’t buy our DP 1.2 monitor emulation KVM.

It will work in the blue USB 3.2 ports, but you could very well have trouble with the white HID ports because Razer likes to violate HID spec. This is really only effects the use of hotkeys. If the Razer keyboard does not work in the HID ports, you will have to miss out on hotkey switching unless you get a new keyboard or a macropad to map the keybinds to.

If you buy a KVM from our office I’m pretty sure we can include import fees in the shipping charge. You can always DM me for a quote.

Just to clarify: if I buy the ‘1.4 Display Port KVM Switch - Dual Monitor - Two Computer’, will it work with a DP 1.2 monitor? I’m planning to upgrade in the near future, but would like to keep using my current monitors for a while.

That sounds great. I’ll do that, thank you!

Yes  DP 1.4 is totally compatible with DP 1.2.

I was just notified that the model is back in stock and wanted to send a direct message to you regarding a quote, but I’m unable to find where to do that. Am I maybe missing the necessary permissions because my account is too new?

Fixed, try now?
