I just realised that everything is so much cheaper in the US than in Europe.
I mean I knew it was cheaper but I tried putting a cart together on Neweggs and realised that was about $250 cheaper than on the cheapest European website I could find (Komplett.dk, .no or .se etc.). And then I tried to find a Kingston HyperX 3K SSD but instead of $95 as in the US it was atleast $130 on any site I could find in the EU.
So I was wondering of any of you guys knew a website (or store) where I could get prices like (or just near) the US prices?
LOL.. JUST take a vacation to the US?? Do you know how much that costs for one person?
It costs like atleast $750 and that's only the tickets.. then there's the hotel (even though I actually have an aunt over there) and the price of flying them home again.. well that's not worth it AT ALL!
Just checked there is about 1000 NOK in diffrence between Newegg and Komplett. I am to get my computer stuff from there in the summer (going over and getting it). It cost about 11000 NOK there. Built it on Komplett and it was about 17000 saved 6000 going over ANd my ticket was just 4200 saved alot personally.....
Let me teach you the math. When you see something new in the States and wonder what it is going to cost when it hits the coast of Denmark, follow this;
Price from US to Denmark approx ~ 1,35 * (Price in USD * Valuta USD -> DKK). Taxes & transport covers for the 35% higher price.
But eh... I'M SORRY AMERICANS! CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE SOUND OF FREE HEALTHCARE!
But yea I knew that transport and taxes would make it cost alot more. But even stuff that is "Designed in Denmark and Made in China" Is cheaper in the US?? (talking about my Steelseries Sensei Mouse)... And since everything is Made in China and there's the same distance to DK and US from China, how come we have to pay more (apart from taxes) even though it's designed in Denmark.
Are the prices on the US websites before tax? They add the purchase tax at the checkout? I know here in the UK we are looking a 20% VAT, (Value Added Tax).
