so ive been researching this and i cant see to come to a conclusion. the tegra 4 soc is way better on benchmarks compared to the s4 pro soc. that being said thats benchmarks not real world use. also the nexus has a 1920x1200 screen compared to the notes 1280x800. so im stumped on which one i want to pick up because the tegra note just came out today.
i have the nexus 7 and it is amazing. very fast and the screen is so crisp and it makes you double take its so good.
They appear to be pretty close. I have been comparing the two myself. Its hard to pass up the evga for the price. i guess what it would come down to is how you plan to use it. if you want to watch videos more the nexus screen is better so theres that. if you want to take notes in class the stylus on the tegra may be better. tegra note is running pretty much stock android so no major difference there besides stylus support/apps. Tegra will prob be better for gaming and listening to music with the front speakers. Nexus will get updated faster since it is a nexus device. Nexus also have ability to get mobile data if you get that model. nexus has up to 32g storage no memory card slot vs tegra's 16g and expandable with card up to 16g more. I am still trying to pick one myself, lol. I think im leaning toward the tegra though because i can use to it take notes in class and i like the front facing speakers. And its cheaper is always a plus.
Both run stock android, so even if it isnt a Nexus device, it will still get the updates the same week that the nexus devices do.
Nice.
I'd have no complaints with the Note 7 if they threw in 2 gigs of RAM. 1gb just seems so outdated at this point in the tablet game.
Like PCs, go Note 7 if you want more graphics power, or 2013 Nexus 7 if you want more processing power. It depends what you'll be doing with your tablet. I barely notice a difference between my 2012 Nexus 7 (1280x800) and brother's 2013 Nexus 7 (1920x1200). If anything the colors are the thing to notice not resolution.
Anything GPU intensive Tegra 4 will smoke S600, but anything CPU intensive is vice versa. Depends on your needs.
