I just got my EVGA 750i FTW today after the XFX 680i LT SLi crapping out on me, i have connected the front pannel audio but no sound comes out, I have tried pluging the headset into the back of the motherboard and still no sound, when i do to choose my default mic and speakers it comes up with Digital output divice(SPDIF) and Digital output divice(HDMI) I installed the latest driver for the motherboard from Nvidia's website but its still happening, anyone know how to fix it or help me thanks
First of all, did you plug it in the correct slot? One of my friends was freaking out that his front audio wasn't working, and I go over to his house to see that he had it in a USB header. So yeah, check that first. If not, it might be your case as well. Try cleaning the headers and doing a fresh installation of your audio drivers.
if you have an audio card try it out and the problem might be the onboard sound dont work i dunno really
u using Win7? or vista?
Im using Vista and I dont have a sound card, and the onboard sound doesnt work, ill try to do a clean install of the drivers tonight

Uninstall ur old drivers and then install the latest drivers.
And in Vista u can choose ur deafult speakers (mine is Line In(Realtek AC97 Audio)
and ur deafult microphone(mine is Microphone(Realtek AC97 Audio)
They are both under the Sound options.
Oh and u shud try to go to Control Panel --> Speech Recognition Options --> Set up microphone
you might have to buy a audio card.... i had the same problem with my A780GM-A Elitegroup mobo.... just go to get a cheap on and install it if tht works than you know the motherboards audio isn't working and you can either save up to get a better one or keep the cheep one you have.
I did a fresh install of the drivers and its worked, thanks for the help guys

NP and good to hear that ;)
I have the Nvidia version of the A780GM-A
the GF8200A, Its pretty sick for the money.
80 bucks and you get gigabit ethernet, Sata 2.0 with raid 0, 1 and 5, AM2+ with 45nm quad core support, ect
But they fucked me with Ami bios. :[
ronnie if you're sure you plugged in the audio cable to the correct socket, then your onboard sound chip might be defective. try getting an RMA on it or something.
