I'm thinking of getting a new graphics card. I got an email from EVGA about new stuff coming out and this GPU came up. And since I get the best results of answers on Tek Syndicate I wanted to ask y'all?
i've had great experience with EVGA. I have their SC 780 with the ACX cooler and it runs really cool, never hitting more than 75 AT MOST when im benchmarking it or something, for gaming it stays around 70 ish. so yeah, the ACX cooler is great. But i wish i could tell you more about the card, but ive never used one.
But it's a quality company that usually delivers a quality product.
I wouldn't get that card. The current lowest price on it is $310 which is as much as Evga's Gtx 770 dual acx Super clocked :p I'd either get the Gtx 770, R9 280x or stretch and get a R9 290 :)
Yeah, that's a good point. I would spend the money on a higher level card for more performance rather than more vram.
There's a 4gb version of GTX 770 but at a premium price of nearly $400, so if you feel you need more than 2gb of frame buffer a R9 280x is your best bet.
Not to mention the fact that 9/10 the 280X is both cheaper and faster than the 770.
