Nearly 8 months ago I built my first PC and everything was working fine. (view my profile for system specs) In the last month though my GPU (EVGA 660 Superclocked) will get really hot (85 degrees C); the screen will turn off; and the GPU fan will go into turbo mode or something; and then I crash. This will happen when doing anything, not even super graphicly intensive. After launching Battlefield 3 and staying in the menu I will crash before I can even play. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I've been getting this recently. http://imgur.com/1b2Y843 It is probably the reason. If anyone could help that would be great! Do you think I could get it replaced or refunded under warrenty? I got it from Amazon and my dad bought it with his credit card which extends warrenties and stuff.
Should be able to unless you bought it used. If you bought it new, then you can just contact the manufacturer.
Okay thanks. I was planning on doing so anyways and I was looking around and saw some other people had the same problem, but none of them found a solution. I just didn't want to sound stupid when I called EVGA. :P
Its an awesome card, i have it, to fix the issue dont use the newest driver... use the second newest and downclock the core by 15mhz, overclock the mem by 5 and make a fan curve, i did that and it was worked
