lol wccftech has no clue what they even post realy.
Atleast thats what i´m thinking.
Everytime they come with a total diffrent article.
But this time, they seem to get close, to a German article i readed back in March lol.
This doesn't really tell us anything, we don't already know. We know the R9-300 series is coming. And we know there will be re-brands, despite AMD confirming it. AMD is struggling Financially. They aren't going to kill off Hawaii and Tonga cause it doesn't make sense. Even from a business and financial stand-point. This is just WCCFtech just upping the hype. Which i don't mind anyways. i love graphics card releases whether it's AMD or Nvidia.
i allready posted this a while back.
390 (X) will be a new chip Fiji
380X Grenade will be a Hawai rebrand
370X will be Tonga
360X Pitcaim
I did too.
this current article is old news lol
I only have the bad feeling, if the Fiji is going to be as good as rumors claim, i´m affraid it will have a fat premium price tag.
Which will probably force me into a 290X / 380X
But we will see. :p
I myself am debating as well whether to jump on the R9-300 series as well or not. I have a fast card already, the R9-290. which will most likely be a R9-380 in the future. I'm basically set. I'm saving up a 1440P Free-Sync monitor. I got support for all the goodies already lol
I'm keeping an eye on price drops as much as I am keeping an eye on the release of the R9-3XX series.
Just because it is not the latest and greatest doesn't mean it isn't a good product.
Thats exactly the point i'm debating at my self aswell.
I have a 7870GHz = 270X, But i´m just sit and wait, and see what pricings are going to do.
I might even grab a 290X if they go for dirt cheap, after 380X launches.
You can get an MSI R9-290 for $249 right now lol

Think i agree with almost all of that. What i hate when they post about the low end cards that hardly any one would buy. Figure by now the low end is the 280 for solid 1080p gaming. So why bother with cards that not even office workers would want?
well "if" the 360X will be pitcaim.
Pitcaim is basicly the chip used in the 7850 / 7870 / 270 /270X.
So if that card would be dirt cheap for arround $100,- then it would not be a bad card i think.
A 270X can basicly still play most games. But they do start to suffer in the new Triple A titles.
But if you lower some settings, and disable any vorm of AA then its basicly not that bad.
Yeah a dirt cheap 360 if they are based off the 7870/270x would be a great entry level gaming card. It will do 1080 just fine and happily keep up with the 960 which would be its rival at that price and being a rebrand from AMD it should be cheaper than then 960.

I can agree if the lower end was pitcairn but Tobago? Bit ? ya. Rumors.
Ill probably splurge into the 390X to replace my 7970.
