got a country more specific then all of europe? prices in great britian are pretty different from say bulgaria.

Any second-hand one, 20 eur

Depends a bit where you need it for.
For that amount of money there is allot of choice.
If the monitor is ment for graphical design and such, on which great colors and viewing angle´s are important.
Then i would recommend an ips monitor pretty much.

LG should have some nice ones to choose from.

I'm from Spain, prices are pretty much the same as in France, Italy, Germomonies, Belgium or Swamp Germany.

Might look into it!

Afraid of dead pixels though

It will be used for coding, mostly, so I'm not sure if IPS matters much.

check the use market. the best stuff i can find for 150 is 24 in 1080p and thats pretty bad for the price. if i were you i'd check used or save up more to get more screen realestate.

For non-gaming has anyone explored the cheap 1080 or 720 big screen TV's.
In the states I have seen 39" 1080's for under 200.

I don't think I have enough space for that kind of screen :frowning:

Get a couple CRT's. I'm not kidding CRT's are amazing.

That's a weird response.

Why?

The color is great, 150HZ or more, and 1600X1200 is an easy res to find if you know what monitors to get. I think they're great.

Can't find any CRT monitors at that resolution here in Spain :frowning:

Most of them can hit that. Any emachines monitor can hit that, or more.

Meaning that what you're basically telling me is to get standard 1280x1024 crt monitor and hope for good luck?

I am confused.

No theres a lot of monitors that have a high screen res. Finding one should be easy to get.

Well for just coding then ips doesnt really matter that much.
However i personally find ips monitors pretty pleasent to work on.
Because they have a way better viewing angles and colors then TN panels.

But if that all doesnt matter to you, then a TN monitor would be just fine.

Thank you, I think I will buy a cheapo TFT monitor and that is it, since I do not know the difference between tft and ips very well (well, all the mobiles I've owned so far have had ips screens so I kinda do, but yeah) since I've only owned one monitor ever in my life, a 21in HP tft 1920x1080 monitor bought in '09 and still going stronk...

I suppose ignorance is bliss.

Apparently isn't so here :frowning:
