Hey guys, browsing the store and noticed the tags on the shirts. Wearing this shirt http://store.nin.com/collections/mens/products/motion-box-l-s-t-shirt-black?variant=1049371337 right now that appears to have the same tags. I'm guessing the shirts are as thin as this one is? Buying band merch over the years I've become a shirt vendor nerd and I think next level is cheap. Is Gildan, Fruit of the loom heavy or hanes beefy that much more that it would cut into your profit margin? The designs are cool and I'm going to order the pcb mouse pad and the pint glass to support you guys but I'm hesitant on the shirts. I like to keep shirts for as long as possible and have noticed that cheap fabric tends to make screen print wear out faster than it should after enough washings. If I'm wrong let me know.
I think the reason why many people like Next Level is because it's thinner, softer, and more fitted than your standard Hanes, FotL, and Gildan, which seems to be the 'in' style nowadays. Next Level is also a bit stretchier than the others, which is nice if it's being used for active wear.
A nice middle ground would be the American Apparel cotton fine jersey since it's fitted but still a bit heavier than Next Level, but the management of that company is... iffy.
There was a brand whose catalog I was pawing through a couple months ago for work that just happened to seem like they'd be close to the image that Tek Syndicate portrays, but I forgot the name of it.
Yeah, I really do not like most Gildan, Fruit of the Loom, or Hanes shirts... they feel rough and are not fitted. They have a terrible cut and are not comfortable imo. The Next Level stuff is as good as it gets for the money. I think you might be the one person in 100 who disagrees. I think American Apparel is a step up in some ways, but it's way more.
I don't see myself switching to a different company unless there is something really amazing I don't know about... certainly not the three you mentioned.
Yeah, I figured American Apparel was probably expensive, judging the price difference on zazzle shirts. I tend to prefer thickness over softness in my shirts as a personal preference. BTW man no love loss for tiger direct being sold but they're the reason I know about you in the first place. I was watching some product demo video some years ago and noticed you were wearing a Finntroll shirt. Some time passed then one day the thought occured to me "I wonder what that logan dude is up to these days"....oh the tek...right on. So yeah I've decided to go to Lansydicate. Seat me with @Alamar and @NeOZeN if possible. I live in Florida and rarely leave this hellhole so going to the upper northwest and meeting you guys is the best vacation I can think of giving myself.
There we go, found the brand I was thinking of. The logos are meh, but I think the actual construction is nifty. Hand dyed, a dark, neutral color palette, etc, etc.
I wish I was going matey but it'll be too expensive for me next year as I am getting married (just think of a wallet continuously emptying into an infinite void). I might try and aim for the next one though, even if I have to spend an entire day in a plane and do that time travel shit.
I'm happy that you found someone you can spend your life with but I'm not going to congratulate you on getting married. Don't do it man!! Just love her/him and live with them. Marriage is obsolete.
