Enterprise switch issues

While I wait for support I want to see if anyone here may have some advise.

Working with 11 ExtremeNetworks x430-8p switches with 6+ devices on each.
The devices are embedded controllers communicating over bacnet protocol.

Most devices cause RX CRC errors and congest the remaining ports.

I can pass these devices through a netgear gs108e mini switch and everything is happy. No errors or congestion appear on the netgear either.

Can’t pinpoint what wizardry is causing packets to drop. Checked/forced/compared negotiation. No special vlan or QoS setup. Wiring and terminations verified good. Swapped ports and devices.
Peak port utilization is 93pkt/sec, avg 35pkt/sec.

Damn. You covered most of the stuff I was thinking of.

When you say the wiring is verified good, are you verifying it vs what the switch is expecting? Sounds silly, but I’ve seen switches that expect T568A and do weird things when they get B (and vice versa). I would assume this isn’t an actual thing anymore, but if you’re out of things to try, you could kill some time by crimping up the opposite standard and hooking up a device at the switch. Just for lols.

That also puts me in mind of another question. Are all of your devices dropped to a patch panel, and then go to the switches? If so, have you tried a direct connection from device to switch?
