So recently my friends have been giving me many recommendations to read the novel Ender's Game. After finishing it, I really love it and hope to read the next in the series! For all of you that read it, what are your thoughts?
One of the best books I've ever read. :}
I have it, read a little a while back and got bored midway through. But i am gonna have to read it again for school soon.

Good read, Hard to say it's unrealistic when it's a scifi book though.

I love Ender's game and some of the sequels(Ender's shadow is particularly good) but this essay has made me view the books in a different light and it is worth reading(even if the authors website totally blows).

it was good but not amazing, i havent read the sequels yet but i definitely will. I mean dont get me wrong it was a good read but nothing amazing and the "twist" was...very anticlimactic.
when i read it in high school i saw the end twist comming and loved it. ive read just about all of the books in the series including the shadow books and the inbetwwen books. :S now that i think about it its one of the longest series ive read and i love it.

A pretty drastic change is that all of the child characters are older. Presumably because they couldn't find good child actors. Or something about qualms about showing the violence or something. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

A very good book, the rest of the series is great. However (in my opinion), Card can be inconsistent in the pacing of his novels. His Memory of Earth series is a great example. By comparision, the ender series is less inconsistent.
Ender's Game is one of my favorite sci fi novels. I bought Speaker for the Dead right after I finished EG but never got to it. Thanks for reminding me!
