So I was able to see sdb during the OS installation, but I am unable to mount it in CLI. I get an error that the device isn't found using command:
mount /dev/sdb1
The drive is obviously visible here though:

Same can be applied to your Linux Mint thread I closed. You just need to remember adding a disk in ESXi is like installing a brand new HDD you just bought. You still need to partition it.
Right. It's as if I open up linux and forget the basics sometimes. Maybe the lack of sleep is doing it, or maybe I'm just dumb.
