Edward Snowden School project

lol i downloaded it yesterday =) thank you for your kindness tho.

I highly suggest on giving tinfoil hats for your teacher and classmates and wear one yourself if you really want to look asa freaking badass and have A for eternity.

Like, seriously man also do a hacking and tor demo. It’s not that hard, and because it’s for educational purposes, the government won’t fuck you up in front of your classroom

+1 I also recommend giving people tinfoil hats. It really makes presentations more interesting when you have something for them. I’m serious BTW. Do it.

im seriously considering it i would just have to make 30 or 40 of them lol

Go to the dollar store, get some cheap tinfoil. The hard part would be to store the foil without damaging them. You can do this with a box but I’ve never been to high school so I wouldn’t know if other students could pose a risk to the hats.

Also when you give out the hats ask people if they think they have nothing to hide or don’t mind the NSA collecting everything.

I absolutely despise people who try to use this flawed argument.

Indeed

4:50 to 6:15 does the trick every time. I tend to let them watch the entire video tho.

its a community college students wouldn’t harm the hats lol

also im a pretty big guy no one would harm my stuff even if it was in high school

Right on! I was homeschooled thats why. But you better do it, and If you do give out hats please come back with results/reactions.

This is why whistleblowers are needed.

There are some things the general public does not need to know and shouldn’t. I believe democracy flourishes when the government can take legitimate steps to keep its secrets, and when the press can decide whether to print what it knows. Katharine Graham

For those who have seen the docus : you may also want to watch last week’s “Triangulation”, where Leo Laporte interviews Ben Wizner (Snowden’s lawyer) and discusses some of the changes that happened after the Snowden revelations.

Great Interview, I initially assumed Leo might be ‘anti-Snowden’ (but like most things in life never assume anything)

Certainly Edward Snowden’s relevations have changed the ‘mind-set’ of America’s government agencies.

He may be oldschool, but he’s pro-Snowden, pro-encryption, even pro-opensource up to the point where he actively preaches the gospel of Linux whenever he can.
