SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
He's a really good speaker.
He's my idol. Humble, articulate, selfless and extremely brave.
Ya know? That this Snowden thing is an obvious ratings, marketing campaign that should be suspect. The structured release of information. Talk show appearances. Ya, the point might be good but the source should be suspect.
Thnx for posting this!
And focusing on the the source of the message instead of the content is called an ad-hominem fallacy in this case.
welcome to 2014, this is how information is disseminated to the masses.

I'm keenly aware of the technicality of it. Most people will interpret mentioning the source as necessarily a dismissal of the claim as well so I'd thought I'd point out that one shouldn't focus on the source, which you are, as it's not actually relevant.
As Snowden said in his opening lines. It's not who he is that's important, and by extension not how his message has been delivered, but rather the core issues he is trying to raise.
Thank you for pointing that out. It is mostly an issue that i think is becoming more relevant. The method of delivery is going to somehow undermine or diminish the original premise.
I can't comprehend why people think he is a criminal. I almost feel like who he is only makes the speech more effective.
Truly, though; do people think that he is lying? Is he terrorizing a people by letting them know that their rights are being abused? I don't get it.
Saw it. Loved it. And I think that in less than a decade, when the generation that's about as internet savvy as a brick has vacated the political sphere, we'll actually have politicians who are technology fluent, and who understand the internet, hopefully who aren't driven by jurassic age thinking, but who have their minds firmly in the 21st century. =)
