Edit right click context menu in Gnome

Hi,

In recent time I have switched from Opensuse KDE to Fedora Gnome.

I would like to customize my options when right-clicking on a file. In KDE there are these things called Service Menus which are really handy and there is also a bit of documentation online for how to use them.

Is there anything comparable for Gnome?

I know of the gnome scripts you can add under .local/share/nautilus/scripts. But there seem to be very few options here... Just add a script to be executed.

Thanks for reading.

I've actually not created context menus for Nautilus before. However, In a search I did find reference to the nautilus-actions application. I haven't played with it too much yet, but it looks like you define what you want the context menu to do, export it, and put the resulting script in the .local/share/nautilus/scripts/ directory.

I am aware of those, but my problem is that they seem a bit limited.

In the KDE Service menus I can have scripts for specific file types and have custom icons commands. (And I am probably just scratching the surface)

I could also not find a tutorial or documentation on nautilus actions.
