With this policy, they can effectively ignore all of your tech support, put you on hold for 15 minutes and even stop working on current RMA processes.
This is the case with XFX who took 6 days off during Christmas and New Years during the middle of the week leaving only 4 Business Days.

My XFX 680i has survived so far, and so have my 2 gpus from them, but after seeing what happened to you I'm definitely EVGA all the way, lol.
Christmas fucking rules, its not about gifts or anything like that. Its togetherness. At least thats how i do it. maybe a few gitfs. But yeah christmas rules and we get it now xfx sucks

believe it or not they are staffed by people, and people like to take some vacation time around the holidays to be with their families, or just relax from having to go do a menial job every day. guess its just bad luck that your shit died at the worst possible time of the year.

I'm not talking about the holidays, I'm talking about the fact that they only work 45 hours out of the week and then they take a another 142 hour holiday, it's just fucking cheap. They even said their support is 5 Star, I've called them as soon as they opened up (12PM EST) and I couldn't reach them until an hour later because they didn't open up their phone lines.
Stressful, bro, stressful.
The even more funny thing is that they rejected my 680i RMA.
That's right, a board that went up in smoke was rejected.
