Lots of effort went into this thread. User friendliness is a rated category.

Typing from Pop right now, easy enough. Even tho I loose my Wi-Fi card everytime I reboot haha. Broadcom BC43XX issues I’m researching right now.

Thanks all.

What are you doing to start WiFi after a reboot?

sudo modprobe -r b43 ssb wl brcmfmac brcmsmac bcma
sudo modprobe wl

Does the gpu work tho? I’ve been wanting another Y40-70 /50-70 and they should have the same display tech.

GTX 860M, seems fine so far

Nice. Shadowrun?

Indeed, runs nicely. As does KOTOR II

If you’re into MMORPGs, The Elder Scrolls Online runs really well on there.

The Obsidian games are good too: Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, Torment

ESO is too mouse dependant, im literally just using this thing as a laptop in the shop and living room.

This is the Wi-Fi I simply cant get to load on boot. Once up by modprobe they work great :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

lspci -vnn | grep Network
08:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4352 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter [14e4:43b1] (rev 03)
Subsystem: Lenovo BCM4352 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter [17aa:0623]

Heretic with the Doomsday Engine and texture pack. Nice game for this machine.

The Wi-Fi issue has fixed itself. Cool, and a bit amusing as well.
