Anyone know a brand of earl grey thatās really strong in taste? Most of the time I drink kusmi earl grey, however Iād often like it to be stronger. When I donāt have kusmi at home, I found an aged earl grey from Numi which is kind of ok, but still too mild imo.
Only advice I could give is see if you have a tea shop local. A place where you can buy real tea, not the stuff sold at Walmart, they would likely have the tea you seek. Bigelow tea is the brand I buy, but Im not a fan of Earl Grey, more of a Jasmin, Green or Raspberry Zinger guy.
Already checked out the local āspecialistā, their selection is not bad, but what they have is on par or poorer than kusmi. I usually nip across the border to Germany to buy these things. Live in Denmark, and most are satisfied with Lipton or robusta coffee. Was just looking for some brand names, so I could order online.
Lipton and Bigelow are the big guys in the US. Besides the smaller places get tea, for example The Michigan Store carries Cherry Flavored tea, but thatās because Michigan is big in to Cherries. I personally like Bigelow teas, they are strong enough for me, but I wouldnāt call my self a āTea Expertā by any means.
Iām new to Earl grey tea so not sure if this is considered strong but Iāve really liked Stash
If you are looking for a stronger āEarl Greyā taste, it is just oil of bergamont. Maybe try adding a drop or 2 to your tea to see if it gives it a boost in flavor?
Will check them out for sure.
@Engle good idea, will check for that oil when borders open to Germany again. Might as well not bother looking for it where I live, would probably be able to get it in Copenhagen.
Just found Kusmi Earl Grey Intense. Ordered a tin, Wednesday is going to be a good day I hope
iām lf to your update i also feel like earl grey is to weak but it such a good tool to keep of the other coffein sources.
Ive tried Twinnings, so far thats the best tasting Earl Grey Tea available in my area. Ive tried some Earl Grey tea from a company thats allegedly based on Ceylon but it tastes like regular tea thats tastes barely different.
The Earl Grey Intense arrived. Itās a very nice tea, but the intense part they left out. Tastes just like normal earl grey from kusmi.
I dont know why but this particular flavor of tea (or is this the āvanillaā of their teas?) make my stomach hurt a bit - and Iāve gone and tried a lot of their flavors.
AFAIK earl grey is one of the teas that can give constipation, so it affects digestion. Perhaps youāre susceptible to this. Might even be all black teas, not sure.
Just replaced my morning coffee with earl grey due to stomach issues.
Went for the MeĆmer one in our local Supermarkt.
For my first purchase it doesnt taste that bad
Oh, messmer is rather nice, wife mainly drinks their nana-minze tea. She says itās the best she found so far.
