Trying to find a good pair of bluetooth earbuds for someone with shallow ears (i.e. the auricle’s concha is shallow, the cavity before the ear’s canal). All the guides I’ve found are for “small” ears, but everyone suposes the same level of depth. Anyone with experiences finding earbuds for shallow ears here? Could use some pointers
Try IEMs? Etymotics really inserts deep in the canal, a shallow ear configuration is irrelevant
Interesting - will look them up!
Does it have to be ear buds or in ear headphones? Might be better off with on ear or over the ear headphones!
Just an observation and good luck!
Looking at earbuds, carrying a case for over ears might be a bit much for this use case
try looking up HUAWEI freeclip wireless earbuds. they don’t go in ear like usual buds, they clip around the lower part of the ear. so they have a very shallow speaker.
These Kiwi Ears “Quintet” are extremely comfortable with small foam ear tips. They insert deep into the canal as well so ear size doesnt matter, and are sculpted very well to ear shapes making them the most comfortable IEMs I have ever worn. I typically wear them 9-10 hours a day on weekdays with no ear soreness during or afterwards while I listed to audio books while I work.
Since you want bluetooth ones, stick a set of KZ AZ09 Pro’s or FiiO UTWS5 with 0.78mm connections on them and they become bluetooth earbuds that work extremely well and have very long battery life. UTWS5 has a higher quality sound, but looks like the .78mm version is currently out of stock due to demand.
