check out the deal with the gigabyte mobo and the e7200, would that be a better deal and just upgrading to a q9xxx cpu later in 2009 once they all drop in prices? (i'll just get the same psu i think)

or would it be better to get the asus p5q pro and 750w corsair psu combo? then get a q6600 and NOT upgrade to the q9xxx next year. in this case i would see how well the corei7's are doing and most likely build a computer with those parts in a few years..?

i'm on a tight budget (for now, while i don't have a constant flow of money) of around $600ish..

if i get the e7200 combo, i could probably afford to get the 9800gtx+ really soon.. or even with the build if i get extra b-day money :3

Well John, I just like gigabyte cuz it's a bit more reliable than asus in my opinion; last time I helped a friend with an asus board, it had a crooked capacitor (like diagonally) and it was DOA. Yeah...Gigabyte releases BiOS updates that actually FIX the issues too. Asus apparently...well..I wouldn't know. They're both great brands. The Q6600 would be a wiser choice.

aight then lol

i just wanna get combos and shit to save some cash..

Doesn't everyone? I want a combo for two GTX 280s for the price of one. But NOOOOO.

loool as if that'll ever happen.. nvidia is hurtin more than humpty dumpty atm.

meanie

Derek, I don't even think they've officially deemed it "Albert's Inbox" yet. All I can say is, there isn't enough humor in his inboxes like there was in Logan's. Other than that, he brings the bread to the table, but it's that crappy white Wonder Bread instead of that fancy Cream Bread in Asian bakeries. >_> Other than THAT that, Nice sig =P.

@John: Brain control will one day exist, and I will utilize it. By hypnotizing the women, principals, instructors, deans, government officials, Nvidia retailers, NewEgg officials, bank accountants, etc.

rofl brain control already happens now.. just not the magical powers form..

i got a AMD 6000+X2 3.0GHz i was think go with a AMD Phenom i dont know which one is a good ONE

i dont know im really a fan of asus i mean i love them and would buy there product over any other product any time (similar product) sam when it comes to graphics cards i go strait for evga cuz of there life time warranty and 24/7 customer support i would go with the p5q pro but i do need a better processor and power supply i might pick one of these up actually

lol after a long well thought out decision, i chose the gigabyte mobo :0!

there was a combo with the psu and OEM q6600, so i got that instead

mobo: gigabyte "GA-EP45-UD3P"

cpu: q6600 oem

cpu heatsink: zerotherm nirvana

ram: corsair xms2 2gb (white dominator?)

psu: corsair 750w

hdd: wd 500gb

dvd burner: pfft, gonna recycle one of the older ones lol

gpu: recycling 8600gt(for now...)

dude kokun why the 8600gt i ahve it and hate it its crap garhhhhhhhhhh (pain cries)

so why choose the gigabyte mombo over asus? whats the difference between the mobos? and hows the zerotherm nirvana tell me when you get it your useing a fan on it right? which case you going with (did u post the antec 300 paint job)?

is it me or are gigabyte boards way too colorful?

they are, but it's still a good mobo.

8600gt ddr3 zalman edition is like the best one, it'll be fine for awhile. i'm not a big gamer like everyone here. it's more about finally stepping up from a single core AMD sempron to an intel q6600 quad.. gonna OC that bad boy to over 3ghz. (my friend also has the exact gpu and cpu, and says he can play crysis fine.. so we'll see)

the gigabyte one statistically wise is a little better. the features like express gate and all that on the asus mobo is pointless for me. the gigabyte has more usbs, dual ethernet, (gonna see if i can hook up the xbox360 to it) can use 1333mhz ram and has better looking heatsinks for the north bridge. (hopefully it actually cools it better)

and since the case is straight black, it would be good to have a contrasting bright blue mobo with the blue LED zerotherm nirvana cpu heatsink.. and i'm gonna get two 120mm fans with blue LED's for the front in-taking cool air looking sexy.

nice how much was this all together?

but for what your running you dont need a 750 watt psu

unless your planning on sli have fun with your rig

ownage

I rate Gigabyte boards and they are the only make i go for now!

I have got the GA-EP45-DS3 and apart from not being able to unlink the memory when overclocking it is rock solid.

i'm going to get a strong nvidia GPU (9800gtx, gtx280, or wait for a gtx290) or two 4870's in CF in the future.. haven't made up my mind cause i don't care that much, yet.. lol
