it's possible there COULD be a bottleneck, since it's a damn strong card. if you overclock the cpu some, to like 3ghz, you should be fine?
Ok.. well.. I took a look at 4850 also and since its such a good price on those (and my CPU is not good enough for a 4870) I maybe should put my money on one of those instead? Or do you think I´ll have problems with those aswell?
the 4780 is much more powerful than the 4850, so i'm sure you'll be fine getting that. it is a good price too..
if u clocked your cpu about 2.8+ it shouldn't be a problem with the 4870, youd get alot better performance with a small oc and the 4870.
just get a better cpu, dropping from a 4870 to a 4850 would suck.
well.. the thing is I need to buy a PSU too. And the price will go up alot if I have tp buy a new CPU aswell.
I´ve found a 4850 for 1300 SEK (its like.. erhm.. 134 euro) and the 4870 costs 200+ euro.
The thing is, If I go for the 4870 I have to spend about.. 400+ euro? And if I go with the 4850 I have to spend half of that (~200 euro).
spitesuicide: I´ve overclocked my CPU to 2,4 Ghz and in load im doing just under 60 C. I presume I have to buy a new cooler if I want to OC more and if I choose to do that ever more money goes away, money I rather spend on the graphicscard and PSU.
Still.. I know the moneyissue is nothing you can help me with, its my problem and my alone.
Thanks, though! :D
PS. I havn't seen many benchmarks between the 4850 and the 4870. Maybe Im not looking good enough but if you know where maybe you could link them?
