DX11 on 9800gtx+?

hey guys
i need your help again:
i got a 9800gtx+ by inno3d so nothing special
its overclocked to 785/1950/1150 (nothing special too)
once i tried to use the update for dx11 on vista but it doesnt work because it said that my gpu isnt compatible to dx11 so i clicked on cancel
today i downloaded the latest nvidia whql drivers and look at this !!!!!!!!

DX11 on a fucking 9800gtx+!!!!!!!!!!!!
so i wondered if this may is a bug or so but then i remembered that nvidia said that all dx10 cards will be comptaible with dx11 (late 2008/early 2009)
so is this a bug or is this really dx11 with the new drivers?

Where abouts did you find that I have the new drivers installed, I will check mine

right click on desktop and choose something like "nvidia control panel"
then click something like "system information" and you can see it
now check if these are the same as on the nvidia website

Mine also says DX11 and I have 9600gt SLi

I'm pretty sure that this only means that Windows features DX11, however it will scale down to whatever DX level your GPU is. In your case, DX10.

I dont think it means that your card is DX 11 capable, im on the 190.62 drivers on Win 7, and it says im using DX11. Also DX11 benchmarks do not work for me either, I have already tested this.

your comp has dx11 but cant use it...

so, +1 lolumad273

Thanks man!

thx guys
i tested it with the heaven benchmark which allowed me to activate dx11 and hardwaretesselation but it just looks like dx10 so no tesselation and the fps display from evga precision on my g15 also shows d3d10 so just a bug or so

I have the same card. I have had Windows 7 for like 4 months and it has always said that. I think they have already announced that DX11 will work on 9 series cards and up, they just won't have all the features.

so you think that the only big new feature of dx11 (hardware tesselation) is locked on older cards?
that would be stupid -.-

Hardware Tessellation, as the name states, requires special hardware.

lmao nvidia doesnt have dx11

FAIL FAIL FAIL

I can smell the nvidia fanboy tears from a mile away !

so i do for ati fanboy -.-
also the screenshot isnt fake!

How can you call anyone a fanboy? When you are the ultimate fanboy. You always talk shit about Nvidia, the only thing you ever say is "Nvidiot" or something stupid.

By the way, Nvidia's G92 cards or even their GT200 cards don't even have a tesselator built within the cards.

ATi cards did since the HD2xxx but it was just a marketing ploy since no one ever used it. So no, no hardware tesselation.
