Dump Wii Games?

Hi, i wasnt sure if this fell under retro gaming, but it was the closest. i would like to know how i would dump my wii games on to my PC, or would i have to download them?

Could have put this post in console games :L

But thats more about gaming on actual consoles, im playing console games on a pc

You can, hypothetically, make an ISO of the wii game and store it on your PC.

There are two methods of doing so, one requiring a wii with home brew software installed, along with some kind of ripping tool; which allow you to place the file on an SD or USB flash drive. The second method probably won't work but here it is. The second method involves using an optical  drive to dump files from the disk, something which only works with a few select drives. I would probably just find some way to acquire or download the games you have.

i dont realy get your question.. you want to rip your wii games to your pc and play them in dolphin?

anyway, i have an external drive on which all my Wii games are stored as iso and wbfs as well. i softmodded my wii. so i can download and put those games on my externel WBFS drive. with a tool called wbfs manager. ive got arround 50 games storred on it.

Here's a link for the method using a dvd drive http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/563020 and here's a guide on how to do it without the dvd drive http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/701082. I've tried the first method using rawdump and it worked, but I haven't tried the second method.

My question is that i want to dump my wii game discs instead of downloading because my internet connection rarely gets upto 200mb/s.

Yeah, there's a homebrew app you can use on your wii to rip the games.

I advise you to actually try searching for an answer before posting on the forums.

Literally the FIRST link in a google search for "rip wii games"

Just instead of using the EHDD on your Wii, use it on your PC.

You have to have a wii first of all. Second you have to have the homebrew channel. Lastly you use an application called cleanrip.
