Dummy Terminal /w battery

Guys just was wondering if anyone had an idea of how to convert a old laptop into a keyboard touch pad and screen for headless micro windows embedded servers I have deployed all over the states.

I was trying to find an Aris 4G lapdock but people just want so much to ship them. Looked into using a server KVM terminal but kinda need the battery.

I use the micro servers as remote desktops for servicing the equipment on my sites but sometimes I need to access them directly and trying to lug a screen keyboard and mouse then use it in the field is challenging.

I thought there must be a way to adapt the touch pad and keyboard to usb. lcd drivers are all over the place but I can’t seem to find a driver for the touch pad and keyboard.

It depends on the laptop, but there are adapter boards that will allow you to plug HDMI or Displayport or whatever into them and they connect to the laptop screen’s ribbon cable.

Regarding the keyboard and trackpad, sometimes they’re just USB on the backend. If that’s the case, it’ll be easy to just make an internal hub and a wire to connect to your systems, but I don’t really know, it’ll depend on the laptop.

This is just the info I’ve got off the top of my head.
