Dumbass server hardware question

I have had an HP Proliant ML370 G4 for a few years now. Since High school. Got it for 50 bucks and had to test the hardware myself and get it all together and it was old then.

I want a dedicated rendering machine for videos that I make but also some other fun projects. I have a 9800GT laying around but the box has no PCIe slot so I doubt I can use it. Is there something I can do to get a GPU in the damned thing and diddle around with it?

Thanks!

TL:DR. Nope

I believe that system came around at the end of AGP. By which point pcie wasn't seen in server hardware until socket 771.

Also there is the added problem of it being a tower system. A lot of the rack based systems have riser cards that at the transition phase of pcix to pcie, could be swapped out depending on your needs (for example the supermicro pdsmi+)
. So basically, what's on the mobo is what you've got.

You could (if you want to spend a lot of money) get a pcix to pcie adapter. https://www.startech.com/uk/m/Cards-Adapters/Slot-Extension/PCI-X-to-x4-PCI-Express-Adapter-Card~PCIX1PEX4
But for the price of that you could most props do something with the AMD AM1 platform.
