Dual Link DVI to Display Port

Hi Guys,

I know this may be a stupid question but I`m seriously confused. I have the crossover 27" monitor linked below and I`d like to hook it up to my laptop for an outside event I will be working at. Since it is Dual link DVI I can`t change it to VGA from what I`m understanding so I found this mini display port adapter but I don`t know if the signal needs to be changed or something. Does anyone know if it will work

Thanks in advance

Hello!

I've got exactly the same problem.

msi gx60+crossover 27qw, connected via apple miniDP->dual DVI active transmitter, max resolution that I could get is full HD.

I couldn't find any information about 2650x1440 resolution on gx60, so i guess it just do not support it.

Did you solved this problem?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I just ordered the connector so when it arrives I`ll try to find out whether I can use it in 1440p and I will update this thread :)

hi guys,

sorry for the very late reply, but I kinda forgot about the thread. When I got the connector, the laptop was not reading the monitor at all. So I am assuming that either the connector is damaged, or for some reason it is not finding it.
