DSC Alarm and notifications

I finally replaced my old hard-wired ADT alarm panel and keypads with a DSC 1864 and 5001 keypads. Now I’d like to be notified remotely if an alarm occurs. The original Getting Started thread has a link to the Envisalink add-on, but I’d rather not rely on the cloud for this. Suggestions?

I have an old-fashioned POTS line. I connected it and programmed the 1864 to call my cell when an alarm triggered. That basically resulted in a DOS attack against my cell phone and I had to disconnect the phone line from my alarm panel (that quite likely was programmer error on my part).

My thought is to deny the invisalink access to the internet to avoid its automatic firmware updates. Is it happy to run configured like that?

Success! The Envisalink hooked up to the DSC and the LAN and showing results on Home Assistant. And opnsense blocking Envisalink’s attempts to phone home.

Thanks very much!
