Any fans of Drone metal or Stoner Doom? I've been big into it since I found out about the genre a few years ago, since I've always thought of heavy as slow and thick instead of fast and whiny. May not be your thing, but maybe someone will enjoy it.

Glad to hear I'm not the only guy here who's into it. I hear a lot of people talk about "heavy" music, but I've never felt it. Blast beats on bass drums and 30,000mph guitar riffs don't strike me as heavy, really. When I think of "heavy" I think of a gigantic monster wading through the streets of a city, or as Matt Pike of Sleep/High On Fire said, Heavy is the sound a warlord's axe makes when he chops a dude's head off in the battlefield. Just love it.
