How do I get Flash operating so that I can use NBC Sports Live Extra and Fox Sports Go on Fedora? I've tried resources for independently installing flash in a couple different walkthroughs, but none that are Fedora specific. Is there a way I can install the outdated HAL? Is there something else I'm missing?
In Chrome the video just shows an endless loading wheel, but to no avail. In Firefox, FSGo says that Flash has crashed, and NBCLE shows the endless loading wheel.
That wasn't really helpful was it ?
Have you explored Kodi at all ? https://kodi.tv/
I took a look at it. That's not really what I'm after on this laptop, but for a future media center that would be schweet. Thanks for the link.
HAL got stripped from Linux a while ago, so I do not know if it is possible to run/add.
Did you follow this guide to get PepperFlash for Chrome ( its a chromium article but still applies as Chromium is upstream of Chrome ) :
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Chromium
This would only fix it for Chrome tho.
EDIT: For me the Fedora forums wont load, I get a service unavailable error. Will check back later.
I went through that fedoraproject page. I do have Flash enabled under the Chrome plugins, but it won't work on these pages. Hmm.
The only other thing that I could think of is maybe hardware acceleration. If its off turn it on and if its on turn it off.
