Driver Issues

Hi, i have recently bought a Theatron agrippa soundcard from club-3d.

I put it in my asrock pro3 and proceded to install the drivers.

The problem is that if i install the soundcard drivers, the onboard realtek hd audio gets disabled and there is no way to disable it. (Have tried forcing onboard in Bios)

I really need the onboard audio to use my front panel.

I need the soundcard for my amplifyer, because it does not have HDMI.

Is it possible to have both drivers installed?

Please help.

Thanks :D

i looked this card up. there seems to be a connector for the front panel audio on this card towards the back of the card.

also you can't  have two audio card enabled at the same time.

Ok thanks, so that mean i can't have both drivers installed at the same time?

Can't i just disable one of the devices in the windows sounds?

you can have both drivers installed but can only have one sound hardware enable at the same time.

in the sound panel in windows right click in the open space and click "show disabled devices". if you want you should be able to go back and forth with enabling and disable which ever sound card you want to use.

Well there is no disabled devices, the drivers from the soundcard uninstalls the realtek ones

this could be by design., like norton anti-virus when you install it, it will remove any other anti-virus software.

also you could send an e-mail to club-3d and see what they have to say about it.

also what does device manager read, does it show the device driver for the realtek uninstalled?

Yes it does not show up in device manager, and i have just sent an email to club-3d :D

My big problem is that i like to skype my friends when we play and the microphone controller or whatshamacallit is preatty bad on the theatron. (Gives random noice)

Thanks by the way :D

If you get a reply back could you post it here? I would like to know why the drivers remove the onboard audio drivers.

Its very weird.

Also why did you go with this sound card?

I actually got 4 dali 104 and an onkyo amplifyer for my birthday (My uncles old) but the only way to hook it up to my pc was with a soundcard.

He dug through his old pc gear and found the card, and that is how i got it :D

Didn't get an answer i could use to anything

What is exactly your problem because i don´t get it..

  1. take out the card. bootup windows go to device manager, click on audio devices, right click on the realtek onboard driver and click disable.
  2. shut down system. install the club 3d card in a pci-e slot. then boot system
  3. if windows got booted up, you must get a message "found new hardware"
  4. Put in your driver cd and install the all the drivers, or go to the club 3d website and download the newest ones.
  5. if you not get a message new hardware found, then try a diffrent pci-e slot. if it doesnt show up anything, the card is probably DOA.
