Dragon Age: Origins Performance increase with 8xAA

Runing DA:O on a gts 450 (i know i need a serious upgrade) with max settings w/out aa and i was getting about 30 fps. However when i turned on aa my framrate jumped to 40 fps. Just thought id bring this to your attention because as far as i'm awar this just difies all logic.

Any thoughts?

Well it could be the programming of the engine, maybe the engine of the game and the way game is made with 8xAA performs better. I really dont know, probavly something involving like without any filters the graphics are blocky but with filters its smooth. Maybe is scenario like Software mode vs API mode, games run worse on software mode because it was CPU intensive?

I think your GPU takes more load onto it than your CPU. Your CPU is the problem for low framerate without filtering?

Dragon Age is CPU heavy....

Looks like you are sharing the load more evenly now.

My cpu is a core 2 quad q8300 if that helps at all
