Hello friends,
I was stumbling over Anandtech.com reviews of Epyc boards.
The GIGABYTE MZ72-HB0 (Rev 3.0) Motherboard Review: Dual Socket 3rd Gen EPYC
The Supermicro H11DSi Motherboard Mini-Review: The Sole Dual EPYC Solution (I know that is not the latest board, but this is more about the trend)
What concerned me is the big variance of the DPC time between ASRock and Supermicro on one end and Gigabyte on the other end. But the MZ72-HB0 result is extremely high. under 100 microseconds on one hand, over 1000 microseconds on the other hand.
I wonder if this can be influenced in any ways or if the Gigabyte board really behaves like an outlier. The article mentions “default settings”.
