DP doesn't work on HP Docking Station on Linux

Hi

I have an HP Elitebook 850 G1 and an HP Ultraslim Docking Station (2013). I use Linux Mint 17.3 and my monitor is connected to one of the DP connectors of the Docking Station. I don't have a signal on the monitor. When I connect the monitor directly to the laptop or use Windows 7 it works. So, it must be a software problem on Linux. How could I fix this?

It's because the displaylink drivers aren't supported in linux. There are some drivers available but they can be a real pain to get working.

I installed the displaylink drivers with this tutorial:

Still, I can only use the DP on the notebook, the DP on the Docking Station still doesn't work...
