Doom teased at QuakeCon

What does everyone think of the new Doom shown at QuakeCon yesterday?  I know Tek Syndicate is attending this year but it is shitty that only attendees got to see the gameplay shown. If you haven't read about it here:

and

I am interested to think of what people here think of this?  I liked some of the things I read about it but am still cautiously optimistic.  I expected Wolfenstein: The New Order (terrible name BTW) to suck but I actually enjoyed it greatly.  Have played through it 2 1/2 times already.  I know they aren't exactly made by the same team, but I feel compelled to compare them based on their history.

Also interesting is that the new Doom is to run on id Tech 6, instead of the id Tech 5 engine of Rage and Wolfenstein.  I haven't personally had problems with Wolfenstein running but i admit that it seemed to take more power than it reasonably should and Rage ran terrible for me when that released.  My friend with an AMD card had a hell of a time getting Wolf to even run but once he did it ran very smoothly.

So what does everyone else think? SPECULATE WILDLY!!!

Personality, I don't have particularly high hopes for this game. I've been hoping against hope for years now that id would get their heads out of their asses and return to the high speed, free flowing movement system that made their classic titles so satisfying. Judging by the rock paper shotgun article however, it's looking like id is going for the sprint and slide from cover to cover movement style that can be found in more recent fps. While it's certainly a step up from the waddle about and crouch behind cover system of games like cod and doom 3, I find that it tends to be a lot less interesting then it seems in the trailers.

I recorded some of the footage, once I edit it I will post it here

I am intrigued!

I don't know if recording the entire thing would have been remotely possible, but I did sit in on the event as well as certain keynotes Pete Hines was a part of and let a few more details out.  I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
