i remember renting that game from a blockbuster
Got a nice retail copy with box a couple months ago for a mere $6. A few more dollars to get the actual box with documentation? Yeah, count me in. Digital copies... ugh.
Didn't like some of the changes they did (the game is much easier now and Sgt. Kelly looks... generic as hell).
The original Doom 3 release should be a must-get anyway for some of the mods that obv. won't work with this.

It has graphical uplifts, including SMAA, higher models for less blockness, HD textures, HDR lighting, Muzze Flash illumination, Bump mapped HD blood, etc.. Current version is 2.8, 2.8a just changes diffulty level. If you use an AMD graphics card turn off Soft Shadows for performance because it runs on an older version of OpenGL, however, Nvidia cards will run fine and the game looks 100x better with soft shadows (It adds softer edges and accurate shadows on light sources adding depth to the environment. It even fixes AI and animation. I use this mod and it's a must have.
