I think I finally know my way around Linux enough; to the point where I'm ready to try something less like Windows. Any suggestions?
Arch! If you don't mind reading, Arch is really modular and extensive documentation. It will really get you familiar with the ins and outs of Linux.

Or Mint. Mint works too...
lol straight from zorin to arch, silly boy.
i'd say crunchbang or mint.
I was gonna say, from what I read and watched on youtube after I read that link; that gnome thing sounds like a bit of a step O_o
One more question; does Mint come with libre office? If not, where can I get it? (It's a necessity for school :P)
I think it does but if not get it from the app store or "synaptic package manager"
sudo apt-get install libreoffice
and do what it says.
If it cannot find it then enter
<span>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
folowed by
<span>sudo apt-get update
I dont know why it says <span> before the commands but ignore that.
gentoo? I actually took a look at it, and it seems like a pretty interesting OS....
Yes, mint comes with LibreOffice. Since it's Ubuntu/Debian based, you could also get it with the apt-get command from the terminal, as Teebler suggested, or you can try the software center which is a little more user friendly. But since it's pre-installed none of that is really necessary.
I'd have to go with Linux Mint because of its stability. Personally I'm running Linux Mint right now because at this stage I can't be bothered to be running terminal at all times.
