Does the B650I Aorus boot without the m.2 active cooler?

I’m looking to use it for a VFIO build, and would like to use the top m.2 slot for an m.2 > PCIe riser like this for a 10gig NIC.

I don’t think there’s a way to put the riser anywhere except the top slot in there without the cooler installed.

Edit: It only occured to me after posting to look for a right angle riser like this, so that’s another avenue to consider.
