Docking Station - Thunderbolt 4

Hello Forum,

nice meeting you all. Maybe some of you could help me in finding the right docking station.

I would need a Thunderbolt 4 docking station for my laptops with:

2 x Display 4K out (don’t care if USB-C, DP or HDMI)
3-4 x USB 3 Type A
2-3 x Thunderbolt 4 at least one with 100W PD
1 x 10 Gbit/s this is the most important one, I can find 1 or 2.5 Gbit/s with the other options without a problem…

I have been looking around the usual vendors but couldn’t find anything… No, I do not want another adapter on the docking station

OWC Thunderbolt Pro Dock. There was supposedly a version with a fan, the current one is fanless.

Hi noenken,

thanks for the help… I SWEAR I have looked there… I didn’t see that one!!!

Owc is the best. much of what caldigit has is decent to good.

Much else on the market is terrible. There is a large large gulf between those two and Everything else.

Thanks Wendell !!!

What do you mean, overheating and random disconnects are not intended features?

You mean the work-life-balancer feature?

And if you’re not putting your coffee on the heating plate, well that’s clearly a user error, right?

Another vote for OWC. I use this one;

https://www.amazon.com/OWC-Thunderbolt-Dock-Compatible-Equipped/dp/B097TVLB4F/

Its worked perfectly across multiple PC’s and Mac’s. Price is high, but its been incredibly reliable.

I’ve had very good experience with Fujitsu’s docks on various laptops and they’re also MIJ (Made in Japan) both their TB3 and TB4 ones.
