Back when i used to go to lans to play counter-strike a mousepad was a must have. It provided me with a consistant surface that i was used to, which to me was important. Still use my qck+ and loving it.
With a mouse pad I can remove it from the desk and clean the desk from various spills and munchie stuff. The pad just needs a simple wipe and it is ready to go if I don't feel like cleaning the entire desk. Hense, I stick to the pad.
I totally agree. It's mouse movement on surface not a precise cursor movement on software.
Beside even a laser mouse it can be worst experience. Simply because of texture is on the pad can be really colorful and it can mess with a cursor movement on soft it self.
