I am wondering if the Superlux HD 668Bs and AntLion Modmic work with Linux, they're what i've been looking at and my gaming PC runs Arch, so if any of you know that would help a lot.
They both have 3.5 mm connectors, so as long as your computer has a headphone and mic input, you should be fine.
Sweet, thanks, i'm just checking because you know how support on Linux is
Yes, unlike some proprietary software consoles where peripheral manufacturers have to pay to see their hardware supported in each version, Linux is compatible with just about anything on the face of the earth, without even needing drivers, because most hardware manufacturers make their hardware class compliant, which always works perfectly fine in linux, and if the hardware needs special drivers, the manufacturers submit the necessary code to the Linux Foundation, and that code is then merged into the kernel, so that immediate compatibility is guaranteed.
Actually, all Microsoft hardware is linux compatible without drivers, including all the media keys and volume control and the windows key (aka the <Super> key). The special features of some Microsoft HID's like keylogging and firmware loaders are however not supported in Linux, so that it's actually safe to use Microsoft hardware on Linux. In fact, some Microsoft hardware, like for instance the Microsoft Fingerprint Reader, remains fully compatible with Linux, but hasn't been compatible with Windows since Windows 7...
That's amazing for me, I've ordered the AntLion Mod Mic and the Superlux HD668B so those should be coming to my PO Box in the U.S. (I live close enough to the border so I can drive to pick them up).
