Hi, never heard about anyone not doing that when upgrading mobo, unless your new mobo is the same model, just new. Windows is always messy when there is too many drivers installed so uninstalling previous - highly recommended.
Do you know how to do that? Like s there an uninstaller?
Try to install new drivers and update the new bios first then use some program like ccleaner for uninstalling the old ones, if you have the new mobo made by the same company some of the drivers may be the same depend of the chipset but i would reinstall them anyway, just to avoid any surprises.
While you can uninstall the drivers and install the ones you need. i would recommend you to just do a clean windows install to help avoid as much hassle as possible.
+1 fresh install is the best option

I just tried to clone a 80GB SSD to a 240GB SSD and I had a bunch of issues. Not the same thing but just shows how upset Windows gets if you screw with it's nest.
