DNS help DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN with windows active directory

hello every one

i keep on getting DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN in google chrome but not any other browser

im using windows active directory so the DNS has to be set to my home server. and im using google DNS for my forwarders “8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4”

please help i have been spending ages trying to fix

If you set your computer's dns server to 8.8.8.8 does it work? If so the problem is likely with your dns server.

sorry i miss read that

if i change my DNS on my computer to 8.8.8.8 there are no issues so its an issue with the DNS server

I don't know much about the windows DNS server. Try disabling the firewall on the server just to rule that out. And double check the DNS server settings.

What about the other computers on your network, do they use your DC for DNS?
Do they have an issues?

Can you resolve your local domain? Is it for all sites?

So it can find the domain but sometimes it will randomly not go to google you YouTube but after half an hour or so it will work again. And it is across all computers when it dose this

Does your server hyper-v installed? If so:

What kind of network card does your DC have?

I've seen this exact issue with a DC that had hyper-v installed with Broadcom NICS, replaced with Intels it was goen.
