Distributing Steam Games

Soon I'll be building my first computer, would it be possible to distribute specific Steam games between an ssd and a hdd. For example, would it be possible to have Arma 2 and a couple of others on the SSD and the rest of my steam library on the hdd?

Not too bothered about it, but if it's possible I might as well make use of the extra space on the ssd after installing windows.

When you go to download a game on steam, it asks you where you want to install the game to. Just chose whichever drive you want it on.

you will have to choose which hard drive to choose and that drive will be designated to pull its sources when needed. I say put steam on what drive have the most storage space. Again, that's just me.

Related: I have an SSD boot drive and save all my steam games to a 1TB WD Blue. Every time I download a game I have to select the 1TB. Is there a way to select the 1TB as the default drive? It is a small annoyance.

The default location is probably where the .exe is located. Installing steam t(the client itself) to the 1TB drive will probably do the trick

That worked. I didn't even have to re download my games. Just told Steam where they were and I was good to go.

You can move the specific game folders to your SSD and create J-links to them.

I described how to do this in another thread to someone that wanted to move data off of an SSD because it was getting overcrowded.
