Just tried DisplayPort daisy chaining with Ubuntu 18.04 and it does not work. Both monitors display the same content.
Does it work for you? Is it a bug or not yet implemented?
It heavily depends on the GPU, OS and Display.
If you can give more specs, I can probably point you towards the culprit.
Also, some monitors require you to enable it in the OSD.
Checked the OSD found nothing.
GPU vendor is Intel.
OS as above Ubuntu 18.04.
Daisy chaining generally works. Should work fine on Intel GPUs. It is dependant on cable used and monitor setup, the settings on the monitors have to be set exactly as required by the manufacturer.
