I am looking for physical hardware to help me make a widescreen monitor into two different displays. Software is not really a option at this point. The need is to make the computer think that it is connected to two different displays (and display them both) but actually it only one monitor split into two different sections. Does anyone know any hardware to help me out?
The computer has 2 display port outputs.
Some monitors can do picture by picture as an option, though not many. A monitor like that with two DP inputs should do this but I have no idea about a standalone bit of hardware that does this.
I am aware of monitors that have features as such built in.
Not sure if I have ever seen dedicated hardware for such tasks.
