Whats the news? When will we see things rolling out to get us faster refresh on 4k and above. Dp 1.4a? MHL?
that doesn't have much to do with the panel. The chemistry hasn't really changed, just the size and amount of pixels has.
What we need is better display standards and better controllers on the panel to deliver High resfresh rate, high resolution images with low latency.
Any word on this? I've been reading a lot and haven't found anything.
I saw a korean 8k monitor doing 120hz but.. unreleased.
They're using proprietary controllers and multiple display inputs to be able to do this. Kinda of like some of the first 4K tvs/monitors had two video inputs and 'faked' two monitors to equal one picture. The way they do this for 8K is similar
