I just finished my first PC build, and everything is working fine but for some reason my display randomly turns off for a second or two and turns back on. I'm running a r9 380 connected to my TV using HDMI. Any help on what might be the issue?
When does it do the turning off and on?
It just does it randomly, even when I'm not playing a game or watching a video and the fans are turned off
Which driver version and OS are you running?
Does your TV do that on different HDMI inputs aswell?
Yes I tried both, I'm running windows 10 home, I downloaded the latest driver from AMD
Knowing the rest of your compontents would help a lot.
I'm running an AMD x4 860k CPU, a88m pro3+ Mobo from Asrock, 8gb oF G SKILL rip jaws x ram, and a caviar blue 1tb hard drive
You missed the PSU put okay.
The components so far seem good to me.
Check if the RAM stick(s) is/are in the correct slot. Consult your manual for that.

I'm sort of confused by this, i currently have the RAM installed on the outermost slots, that's A2 and B2. On the chart A1 and B1 say they should be populated under priority one, but on tthe last point on the text bocx above it says that I should use A2 and B2. I don't understand.
I changed the RAM positions and it´s still doing it..
Try a different HDMI cable. Try a different HDMI port on both the gpu and tv.

did that, still nothing... maybe it´s a software issue?
Do you have another gpu to test? Maybe try an older version of your gpu driver.
nah, I don't... i'm thinking it might just be my tv, the hdmi port is kinda rusty, and the tv is a little old... what throws me off is that i used to connect it to my laptop just fine.. i'll try with another tv and see what happens.
AND INDEEED it was the TV. Thankfully, I was getting worried.. Thanks everyone for helping out though.

I have a similar problem. Its my first build and i have everything running right( i think) and i plugged in the HDMI cord to my TV and I get no signal. I tried VGA on it and another monitor and nothing happened. I have no OS on it cause i just built this. I fixed the ram placement and since its dual channel and since my MB only supports dual channel it should be fine. The TV is fairly new and the HDMI is the same one i use for my console.
