i just got a 22" monitor by LG w/ a 1920x1080p resolution and i can't get windows to fit to the size of the monitor.
before you recommend the following let me just say...
- ALL of my drivers are up to date
- the native resolution of 1920x1080 is what is set.
does anybody know another way to fix this?
Push and hold on the menu button, that worked for me. You may have to hold the button for 5-10 seconds

If you have an AMD GPU, open up Catalyst Control Center, go to 'My Digital Flat-Panels' tab and click on 'Scaling Option'. Drag the slider to 0%.
