Disadvantages of using Japanese PS4 in the UK?

So I'm going to be getting a PS4 in the near future, but the one I'm considering is a Japanese import. So I'm worried about any complications of having a imported console in the UK, like different voltages and any games or blu-rays that are region locked. Or should I just get a UK console? Any help would be appreciated.

Although the console is not region locked and most games are not either, there is the possibility that if a game is made region locked (disc based) then you will not be able to run it.

If this was the case for some games and movies, would there be any workarounds or would it not work full stop?
